Not fully sure why just yet, but LuLu P has been on repeat about two week now with no end in sight. Don’t laugh, but his style of rapping is very pimp. Honestly, there’s really no other way I could describe it: his delivery is like spitting game in a more conversation-like format, has a 70s-80s old school rnb soul, and even has a song titled “Sureyouright”. C’mon bro, sureyouright, really? Besides that being something my grandma says, A$AP Ant (YG Addie), CEO of the Marino Infantry collective, found a gem.

As a street legend from D.C. area and now rapper formerly known as Iceberg Lo, P has a message with his craft; seemingly more so than others. A common theme seems to be providing news you can use. Instead of gloating on about possessions, the music is more so targeting a change in the mindset and lifestyle choices of his listeners. It’s like having a psychiatrist you meet up with weekly keeping you grounded/focused on what matters. View the attached playlist and videos for an hour session on us at no cost to you.

P has 6 albums, 1 EP on Apple Music, and numerous collaborations with YG Addie, Soduh, Money Montana, Shy Glizzy, Gucci Mane, etc. without the backing of any of the major labels. Personally, this is impressive when before Lulu P and A$AP Ant, I didn’t know any rappers from the DMV area and wasn’t interested in listening to any of them. Either way, I’ve found his releases to come extremely consistent through the years. Just this morning, P and A$AP Ant released “Regulate It” across streaming platforms. If you’re looking for new music and are specifically interested in someone who doesn’t sound like anyone else in the industry currently, this is it.

He officially receives the PLASTRD stamp of approval and you’re plain ignorant if you continue to be oblivious and ignore it. He isn’t a new rapper, but definitely growing in notoriety globally with his music and message. Peep bro out before he drops something mainstream so you can say you were a day one. Remember you heard it here first.
