Happy July! We’re halfway through the year already, can you believe it?! July is a great time to take a step back, reflect on what you’ve accomplished so far, makes adjustments where needed, and map a plan for the rest of the year. Since I spend the majority of my time at home these days, one of my main goals this year was to make my abode as comfortable and luxurious as possible. One way I’ve accomplished this is by making small changes in my routines, whether it’s completely cutting a task out or adding a product to help make my life easier. Here’s a few items I’ve added to my beauty routine to make life easier and more luxurious ✨. These are the exact products I use and recommend, however Amazon does have similar products from various brands—feel free to browse and find what works best for you!
Lint-Free Cotton Rounds (Face Pads)
Whether you’re new to makeup and skincare or a seasoned beaut, it’s always best to keep an open mind. That way, as you learn new tips and tricks, you can adjust and apply them to your routine as you go. Here’s one of those tips I wish I knew about sooner—these lint-free face pads. Before I found these amazing cotton rounds, I would buy the very linty version from the drugstore and end up annoyed at the amount of lint stuck to my face once my face products dried. Can you imagine leaving the house with a seemingly perfect appearance then getting to your destination with lint balls all over your face?! I mainly use the pads to apply skincare products (such as toners and serums), but they also work great to remove makeup. These pads are a little bit pricier than the cheaper, lintier ones found at drug stores but they’re totally worth it. No more linty face. Thank me later!
Stone Face Roller
Have you ever had a massage therapist place stones on your face (or back) during a massage in order to ease tense muscles and facilitate relaxation? Well this stone roller works in a very similar way! Since genuine stone has a naturally cooling effect, this face roller feels absolutely amazing on your skin as you use it! The “cooling” stone not only feels great, but it also helps stimulate blood flow. According to the product’s detail page, stimulating blood flow in the face can help to reduce puffiness and tighten skin over time. Some people even say that the face roller naturally reduced the appearance of their fine lines and wrinkles. The roller also helps when applying skincare products and serums, as it assists in distributing the products more evenly. It’s definitely one of my new favorite beauty tools. Once you start using it, you’ll wish you had it sooner.

We’ve all seen those handheld scalp massagers that resemble a baking whisk (at least that’s what they look like to me 😂). Think of a tool pretty similar to that, but much smaller and more useful. This beauty tool is the universe’s gift to thick, curly hair and itchy, dry scalps. The soft, silicone tips work by massaging your scalp and distributng shampoo and conditioner evenly throughout your scalp and roots. If your hair is anywhere as thick and curly as mine, this tool is nearly mandatory for delivering product evenly to your roots. If you suffer from an itchy or dry scalp, the shampoo and scalp massager can scrub and deliver product to those hard-to-reach areas. This tool removes dead skin cells from your scalp that you may normally miss with a routine wash. I don’t even like thinking about how clean my scalp actually was before I purchased this. I will warn you though, you may never want to wash or condition your hair without using one again, it feels amazing. Your scalp will thank you.
Exfoliating Gloves
Similar to the scalp and shampoo massager, exfoliating also helps to remove dead cells from the skin’s surface. You can choose either manual or chemical exfoliation to get the job done. For the latter, you may want to visit a dermatologist to see what works best for your skin type and your skin concerns prior to choosing a product. Manual exfoliation is easier to do and much safer for beginners, especially when there are plenty of scrubs and washes to choose from. Although I still use my beloved scrub from time to time, my current favorite way to exfoliate is by using handy-dandy exfoliating gloves. To use exfoliating gloves: lather them up with your desired soap, as you would a normal washcloth, and get to work! Due to their granulated texture, the exfoliating gloves do the scrubbing for you. It’s super easy to use and your skin feels soft and rejuvenated afterwards—you’re welcome.
