I am anticipating the times of New Orleans being back in the music spotlight like Cash Money and No Limit were in the 90s. @directedbyfrankie and Stone Cold Jzzle provide an awesome glimpse of New Orleans’ festival season while also giving hope to the return of the Big Easy. Surely before long, “Yup” will be on airwaves nationwide. The media and residents paint only a picture of crime and desolation, but more pressing matters are worth recognition. A$AP Bari has a cameo in the video, G Herbo was listening during a live stream video, and Lyrical Lemonade has an excerpt paying homage to the city native so it won’t be long at all. New Orleans is overdue for another star in hip hop—all we have is like 4 artists respectfully when speaking of who common folk would be able to distinguish. “Uh Huh”, “Jump Start”, and “Watch Out” are my favorite songs by Jzzle thus far; add him to your playlists ASAP.
