BIG JELLY

Whenever P (Pi’erre Bourne) and Jelly get together, the sun shines just a little bit brighter bro. If we’re being honest, any day with new music is a great day. Recently my guy partnered up with Crispin Wah for “Za” (2022) and just recently dropped the single, “Fiya”. Singles for the upcoming Wolf of Peachtree 2 album release in March? Hm.

Pi’erre Bourne curated Sosshouse (est. 2017) with rappers who know how to manipulate his beats properly, He would describe it as “happy ass beats” and I could see how Jelly fits into that description with songs like “Today”. In this one here, he [Jelly] basically guides you through what a typical good day should be like and I dare you to disagree. It lowkey has a ‘It Was A Good Day’ vibe by Ice Cube if you ask me.

Jelly is from South Carolina then moved to Atlanta after high school. He started rapping at 19 and worked with Zaytoven before joining Sosshouse. Once a member, he released the albums/EPs : Wolf Szn (2019) , Yb Jelly (2020), Wolf of Peachtree, Active, OBT to Peachtree (2021), and Hurricane Wolf based on Apple Music. In an interview with Dirty Glove Bastard, Jelly admits to not taking rap seriously at first, which led to an on and off ‘leave of absence’; however, this attitude was very much short-lived.

Pi’erre decided to go to an audio engineering institute in Atlanta and ended up linking with Jelly in the process. I don’t have to really explain much else from there, right? Jelly has worked with other producers: REESEGOTIT, RIZZYWAV, BAEIKLI, and YOUNG BERNS—just to name a few with some hits in the included playlist. Go cop some merch and tune in. Remember, Wolf of Peachtree 2 is coming in a few weeks, or less.
